Lors de la quatrième édition du festival Xscience, qui se tenait à Gênes du 24 au 28 mars, Ex-E.T a conquit le public mais aussi le jury du festival. En effet, Ex-E.T remporte le prix du public et obtient une mention spéciale du Jury qui souligne la haute qualité du court métrage de l'ESMA.
